Over the Course of Spring
From April to June
The sun is coming out - it’s time to get together again! The Hamlet of Marqueze is in bloom again as springtime returns to the region, with our team waiting to welcome you on the platform.
The Marquèze Ecomuseum has regained its colourful springtime charm. This winter, the Airial has been enhanced through agricultural work and maintenance of the houses and landscapes. The young rye is starting to grow and the sheep roam among the green trees that overlook the century-old country houses. The new temporary exhibition at the Marquèze Pavilion is also open, and our facilitators are in place to bring to life the authentic 19th century expertise of the Grande Lande.
Once on the train, you are plunged into the heart of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park, where animals, practical demonstrations of local expertise and traditional buildings allow you to immerse yourself in a now forgotten way of life, in the heart of the largest forest in Europe.
Save the date! This year, several traditional events celebrating rural life in the old days as well as new, original events will appear during the spring season, providing an ideal an opportunity to rediscover Marqueze!
